Earthpaint is the first paint company to use 140% Wind Energy offsets!

Earthpaint supports 100% Wind Energy, following the lead from our neighbors at Warren Wilson College. These young revolutionaries scoured the countryside looking for the best solution to their large dependence on Coal Fired electricity. They decided on Sterling Planet a company whose corporate clients include Alcoa, DuPont and Pitney Bowes, to provide them with REC’s, renewable energy credits.

When Earthpaint looked into this we found that we could actually give back 40% of our energy consumption by offsetting the cost of Wind Energy for people using electric in Atlanta. It's more effective for them to use Wind Power near the source than for us to build new generating stations, so, in reality we pay for others to use Wind Power so we can use the grid near us with less ecological footprint.
